Spice joins the Unusual Suspects Festival lineup

How can social innovation tackle some of the capital’s most pressing challenges? What cross-cutting connections would help to foster the development of these ideas in new sectors?

These are the some of the questions that prompted the launch of the Unusual Suspects Festival, open and free to the public, and organised by Social Innovation Exchange. The festival brings together an eclectic mix of social innovators and collaborators to explore issues such as sustainability, urban health and design. This year we are delighted to announce that Spice is joining the Unusual Suspects Festival lineup!

On 15 June, Spice is running an interactive workshop focused on asset based working with marginalised and excluded groups. Our session will look at how enabling community participation can help people to find new roles for themselves, boosting their own confidence and well-being along the way. Building on our work in homelessness and in mental health, and in conjunction with partners St Mungo’s, we’ll be facilitating a two hour workshop to spark new ideas, shape your thinking and learn about different approaches.

Workshop details

Our workshop takes place on Thursday 15 June, 2-4pm, at the St Mungo’s hostel on Mare Street in Hackney. You can book tickets for the event directly via this Eventbrite booking form.
