Tempo and our fantastic partners Tower Bridge have been shortlisted for ‘Partnership of the Year’ in the Museum and Heritage Awards 2019. This award recognises innovative and impactful partnerships that have made a difference through their collaboration.
In the last year, Tower Bridge accepted over 500 Time Credits. Through our partnership with Tower Bridge over 250 volunteers from City of London, Kent, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Llanelli, Chorley, Cardiff, Westminster and Buckinghamshire had the opportunity to visit Tower Bridge as a way of recognising the value of their time given to their community.
Tempo works with many communities and individuals across the UK, including those; experiencing homelessness, at risk of isolation, low-income families and those managing mental health conditions. Earning Time Credits encourages new people to volunteer and empowers individuals in the community to give back. Through being able to spend at Tower Bridge volunteers experience an iconic day out and learn about the great historic site; something that may not have been possible without this partnership.
We are proud to be in partnership with Tower Bridge, a national icon that supports both local and national communities through accepting Time Credits. Our partnership with Tower Bridge helps to give value to each and every individual that gets involved in their community by helping to inspire new people to get involved in volunteering throughout the UK.
The winner will be announced at this year’s ceremony which will be held on 15th May. Fingers crossed!
