Salary: £27,000 – £31,000 (pro rata if applicable) (plus £2,000 London Weighting Allowance if applicable) plus pension

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager with experience in grant and bid writing to join our Business Development Team. You will drive and coordinate business development across England and Wales, with a specific focus on high quality grant and bid writing. You will help increase the reach and impact of our work, playing a key role in supporting the organisation to grow in line with our new strategic focus. You will work closely with others to identify, develop and write new grant applications, proposals and tenders, coordinate and report on business development activity, pitch to new potential clients and develop new business resources. You’ll also oversee commissioning and contracting processes and hand over to the programmes team for delivery.
You are proactive and passionate about communities and about creating positive, lasting change that builds on the skills and assets of all. You have significant experience of writing high quality grant applications and bids or tenders, including familiarity with the grant funding sector in the UK. You are able to communicate effectively about our work, build relationships quickly and collaborate with team members to achieve a goal. You are target driven, with the ability to stay on top of a varied and demanding workload.
- You will need to be flexible regarding working hours and location. This role will cover business development in England and Wales and will include travel to meet with potential clients across both countries.
- You will be a member of the London-based development team and while this role does not need to be based in London, regular travel to meet with the team is a requirement.
